Yes you're absolutely right I must redirect download to the new version of GUI, I hope only to find the last old source code. Maybe MedGui downloader should be set up so when it checks for an update, it downloads MedGui Reborn. Thanks again for the information, I'll look that up. Now that I've tried Mednafen and having it work so well with PSX emulation, I've come to the conclusion the reason ePSXe is such a mess is because of their obsession with fancy graphic filters and resolution enhancements. that might solve all my issues! I think I found the link to MedGui bundled with Mednafen on an emulator site after the disaster I had trying to get ePSXe to work properly, so I wasn't aware it wasn't being updated anymore. Then if you are having problems with the latest version of MedGui Reborn then the situation is different and I should investigate thoroughly That error is reported because in some version of Mednafen have changed the setting stretching that if I remember correctly it was the auto, full ,etc and now is 0, full, aspect, etc. Once installed, head back to the Main Menu and Load Core. At first I was thinking this had to do with the whole write-permissions thing in the latest version of Android - but it occurred to me that I am able to save via savestates no problem. I'm using the PCSX Rearmed core in Retroarch. You can also choose the non-HW version, but I recommend using HW instead. 8y Hey guys, I'm having an issue trying to save to 'memory card' in a PSX game. Other than these random MedGui glitches, so far this is the only emulator that does Playstation games without issue.Įxcuse the intrusion, but I do not update MedGui at least a year, because even now the GUI is called MedGui Reborn and is fully compatible with all the options of the last Mednafen. Scroll down to Playstation (Beetle PSX HW). I hope MedGui does an update soon so it works with the latest Mednafen. I hope setting my Settings file to Read Only will prevent MedGui from randomly screwing it up again.Īs for the C:SotN file thank you so much, it worked, and I can start a new game with it cleared (required for Rings of Varda). Hello, Ive started using retroarch for some of my emulators (mainly PSX). I basically restored it all, then upgraded again and it fixed the issue. I'm glad I had the wherewithal to 7zip the original directory before upgrading Mednafen. Go your RetroArchs installation folder configs folder look for the folder name of the emulator youre looking for open the DuckStation.opt setting with the text editor and look for this line: duckstationMemor圜ards.Card1Type 'PerGameTitle' duckstationMemor圜ards. I think it's due to it not being updated to the latest Mednafen, which I had to upgrade to in order to get rid of the error. This is the best PSX emulator I've used I just wish they updated MedGui once in a while. However, I just found out the hard way that saving progress in-game as you would in the original playstation does. I've always used ePSXe so I assumed RetroArch used a similar system for saves with virtual memory cards. I hate when something randomly does something when no settings were changed. Today I installed RetroArch on my Vita with YuGiOh Forbidden Memories. I'd test it out but for some reason, even when changing no options whatsoever, MedGui does something that completely breaks Mednafen with an error "Unrecognized argument:-.stretch" We take videogame preservation seriously and want to ensure you can run your originally bought content on modern day PCs.Dd if=castlevania_lv76.gme of=castlevania_lv76.mcr bs=1 skip=3904 In addition to this, you will soon be able to run original game discs (CDs) from RetroArch. NOTE: Will NOT work with Android 11 as some emulators and RetroArch cant read from external storage like they could in Android 10. Settings are also unified so configuration is done once and for all. While it can do many things besides this, it is most widely known for enabling you to run classic games on a wide range of computers and consoles through a slick graphical interface. RetroArch is an open source and cross platform frontend/framework for emulators, game engines, video games, media players and other applications.
